Black Friday Kindle Fire

Black Friday November 2011 Deals

2011 is a great year for electronic sales and price competitions. The best time to get anything electronic is on Black Friday. While that fact has always held true, it is going to be especially good this year. Computers are expected to hit at rock bottom prices around $200, and TV’s will be going for very reasonable prices.

Black Friday is an excellent time to grab a smartphone, e-reader, or tablet. The Black Friday Kindle Fire declared price competition war with its $199 price tag. The Nook and Nook Color are expected to see drops from $139 to $99 and $249 to $199. This doesn’t come as a surprise at all since both Amazon and Barnes and Noble both fight toe to toe with each other both in their product features and prices.

The Apple iPad is not expected to budge on its current $499 and up price. The Kindle Fire is rumored to go on a brief holiday sale similar to the one that went on a few years ago. The two weeks leading up to Black Friday will be huge. The Kindle Fire is set to be released on November 15.

The Kindle Fire is Amazon’s much awaited Kindle Tablet. It is going for a very reasonable price for a tablet, and is expected to be one of the hottest gadgets of the 2011 holiday season.

The Black Friday Kindle Fire is good for consumers who want a quality multipurpose device at a low price. It is great for reading magazines, playing games, and browsing the internet. The 7” display makes it smaller than the iPad and closer to the design of the Nook Color.

The vibrant color touch screen includes 16 million colors, and includes in plane switching similar to the iPad, and smartphones. This gives the device the ability to flip displays vertically or horizontally.

One of the biggest complaints about reading magazines on the previous generation e-ink Kindles is the lack of graphic quality. This situation is erased with the Kindle Fire’s display. It is nice to have a device that comes fully equipped with this ability without relying on using Kindle apps on other gadgets.

The Black Friday Kindle Fire sports a faster, more user centric web browser called Amazon Silk. It uses Amazon’s cloud service, and is designed to be geared towards the user’s preferences. This is similar to the “recommendations” that Amazon makes based on the items its customers view or select on its website. Amazon Silk supports flash and is not bogged down by the tradition web browser’s need to collect information from multiple domains before arriving at a page.

It has a powerful dual core processor that can handle a lot of data at once. You can read while downloading videos, or browse the internet while also playing music. Amazon has its own Android based app store that you can download games, music, and more.

The device still serves as an e-reader with access to Amazon’s massive collection of e-books. For hardcore readers, it might still be better to go with the original Kindle with the e-ink screen. They’re better designed for long term reading. But, it is all a matter of preference and what readers want from the Black Friday Kindle Fire.

There is a built in e-mail app that allows access to any of the major e-mail programs like Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. The Black Friday Kindle Fire also comes equipped to handle Word documents, PDF’s, and other document formats with ease.

The two major perks that the Kindle Fire could use that would put it head to head with the iPad is to allow Bluetooth keyboard connections, and have a larger screen. With a 10” screen and the ability to use an external keyboard, the iPad can pretty much be used liked a laptop. However, speculations are going around that a larger screen version of the Kindle Fire is in the works for the near future.
